🚀 Why Language Matters in Sensory Integration & Processing! Occupational therapists—are we framing sensory differences in a way that truly supports participation? AOTA backs “sensory integration and processing” to capture how sensory input is actively used for engagement, while RCOT emphasises keeping an occupational focus. Let’s move beyond a deficit model and highlight strengths and participation in our reports. Want to know how? 👇 🔗 #SensoryIntegration #OccupationalTherapy

Kath’s Early Morning Coffee Musings ☕ Exciting Progress: EASI International Normative Data Analysis - Digging Deeper with the Data This morning’s email catch-up over my coffee brought an exciting update on the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) tests, a project steadily moving towards final publications. The announcement today about the in-depth and ongoing analysis – digging deeper into the international normative data – marks a significant milestone, reflecting the dedication and precision of the global team behind this initiative. 🌍 What Makes EASI So Noteworthy? •Thoughtful Design & Broad Applicability: EASI has been developed to be both practical and accessible, ensuring its utility for therapists across diverse settings and regions. •Adaptability: With plans for translation into multiple languages, it’s clear this tool is committed to meeting the needs of therapists worldwide. 🌏 Affordability: A Key Strength 💡 A significant driver for the NHS & HSE (state-delivered Social Care and Education in the UK and Ireland) is affordability – and this is where EASI truly shines. Unlike many commercial tests, its accessible cost structure removes barriers, making it a viable option for a wider range of practitioners. This aligns with the project’s ethos: ensuring that robust, evidence-based tools are within reach for those who need them. 🛠️ Stay in the Loop! If you’re EASI trained and enrolled in the ESP program, you’ll be notified by email as updates become available. For others, keep an eye on the EASI website for further information and announcements: The progress of EASI represents not only a significant step forward in Ayres Sensory Integration but also a powerful example of international collaboration in advancing the profession of occupational therapy and our practice. 🌟 We look forward to seeing the next stages of this important project unfold. People Understood. A huge thank you to everyone at EASI HQ – what you have delivered and continue to deliver on this project is truly incredible! 👏 Please keep up the fantastic work!
