Kenneth, an economist at @CSBAGUGANDA, has shed light on key audit findings in the agriculture sector: - Lack of professional certification:None of the 2,561 extension workers recruited across 135 local governments meet the certification requirements set by MAAIF’s operational guidelines for PDM. - Severe staffing gaps:Only 2,561 out of the required 5,874 extension positions are filled, leaving a 57% shortage. These challenges significantly impact agricultural productivity. Uganda loses UGX 72 billion in post-harvest losses each season, according to the FAO. #EveryShillingCounts @CSBAGUGANDA
