The French colonial rule was designed for Africans to aspire to be French and by extension white, while knowing that they’ll never be. So they had to do whatever they could and work as hard as they could to become the closest thing to white. I think that’s where this comes from.

My dad was an entrepreneur. The construction business he built from nothing but a dream is currently being run by my brothers and I. My mom is still in sales till today. Sold my 1st insurance contract at 9. Entrepreneurship is basically my birthright.
