When shooting for Anbe Vaa in Shimla, the cast and crew had to travel by train between locations. The train stopped in Kalga, and MGR sir’s wife Janaki Ammal wanted something cold to drink.

The puja for the movie was performed on 20th June 1981. We had to release it on 15th August that year and so the timelines were really tight. We had just 56 days of which 35 would go in shooting and post production was planned for the remaining days. (2/4)
