Here is the story from @borderless_cap, a US based crypto native VC known for DePIN investments Our journey with @peaq started in 2018 when my partner @DG__tw and I invested in their seed round. They struggled, pivoted and patiently explained to investors what they are building for many years. We believed in them and continued to support them along the way. Early this year we led the round from Borderless and worked closely with many of the companies building in Peaq including @silencioNetwork and @NATIXNetwork mentioned here. Literally hundreds of DePIN projects are building and going live in Peaq. As we kick started our DePIN Fund III, Peaq joined as anchor investor along with Solana and Jump crypto with many other strategic web3 institutions. Now we are even more committed to grow the DePIN ecosystem in Peaq. We work closely with @solana as well and we believe both Peaq and Solana will lead the DePIN growth from $25B to $250b in next few years while going towards the TAM of $3.2T. My take on the $PEAQ saga: US VCs largely either passed on the opportunity or weren’t aware of the deal—likely a case of home bias. What they’ve missed is the strong cult-like following forming among European builders. I’ve spoken to at least 12 teams, with two standing out in particular: @NATIXNetwork and @silencioNetwork. The Peaq team—@dorloechter, @MaxThake, and @MartinElKhouri—are exceptional ecosystem builders, supporting projects throughout their lifecycle with marketing, capital markets expertise, and technical integrations. Even without tier-1 exchange listings, the trading volume is strong. Retail investors are drawn to the narrative (a DePIN ETF/Index Play) and had the chance to participate in the public sale with Coinlist at a reasonable valuation with fair unlock terms. Achieving a $3B FDV is impressive, especially given the launch at a sensible valuation with a balanced float. Way to go @aseidman and team ! I can see HiveMapper reaching double digit ARR (in tens of millions) next year. DePIN mapping is one the top sector within geoDePIN @borderless_cap is heavily focusing. @NATIXNetwork @GEODNET_ are all leading the way and complementing to each other. Combining GPS accuracy with 3d mapping is what the market needs with autonomous driving getting accelerated with DOGE and Trump administration
