On odd days I pick up twitter arguments. On even days I prefer to cook, bake, paint, photograph, teach design, dote on my kids and run a successful business.

My Grandfather lost his mom when he was 7. He was a great man and very polite.
Nearly 80 years later once I joked with him that he is absolutely non-fussy about most things in life specially food.
His reply “ माँ नहीं थी ना बेटा मेरी। मेरे नख़रे उठाता कौन? “

I am a Fashion Graduate from India’s top college NIFT, I started business at 22 & currently employ 55 people & am a MSME complying with laws. I have a huge group of friends, active social life & an IQ higher than most people masquerading as journalists. I still support Modi.

labour going back to villages. Last lockdown I paid all my Bihar/Jharkhand Tailors a hefty advance to stay back. They used it to hire a traveller and go back to village.
The town of Fatehpur has a sizeable Muslim population. Woke up at 6 am with loud blaring Azaan. It was pitch dark outside and really cold. The sound travelled far in the quite cold morning. Wonder why wake the entire populace? But then I must be a Sanghi to ask it?
I lived as a student on Gujrat in late 90’s. Most of my classmates were from North specially Delhi NCR. It was our collective belief that even then, Gujarat was a very safe place for us. We could travel in state transport, walk on roads at night and return at 2 am from Garba.
My Father has been growing organic vegetables on the rooftop (not a very large space). In old water tanks and some pots. Today’s harvest looks like this 😊 photo sent by my son who has a sudden interest in farming and is helping Nana ( I am glad for that)
Good to see the Rafale jets finally in India. We sure need more quality aircraft for our IAF.. but a little less of the band, baaja, baaraat surround sound please.: it’s a fighter plane not a vaccine!

Withdraw from what? Industries that create jobs ? I work for a Reliance company as a supplier and I pay 50 people their salary from their orders.. What am I supposed to withdraw from and who will generate work?
Only in India a young mother (22 yr old as per news reports) dies in giving birth to 4th child (3 girls before this). And the Doctor gets booked for murder under SC ST act due to local political goons.
This is peak casteism, political extortion Indian style.

Being L K Advani means living long enough to see his party with 2 seats win 300+, see 370 abolished and Ram Mandir being made. May everyone lives long enough to see their wishes fulfilled 😉
The liberal lobby often mocks us as Sanghis and calls the Hindu dharma patriarchal.
Yet we saw both ABV & Sushma Ji cremated by their daughters. Today we saw some more brave daughters perform the last rites of their beloved fathers.
We are a faith that has willingness to change.
Before the School bus comes at 0645, I have to get 2 kids ( the 6 year old is a pain to wake up) ready for school with proper lunch Box .. every single day I pack a fresh meal of Roti, sabzi, fruit and some snack .. may I now claim some bravery award?

As an MSME entrepreneurship I have seen a huge change on ground.
Most of my 50+ staff preferred cash salary.
In the months after demonetisation we could convince everyone for salary in bank accounts via NEFT .
Most had accounts already.
I paid for my vaccine because
1) I could afford to.
2) I wanted it as soon as possible
3) it was a choice to pay or not pay.
By no means it was a selfless gesture on my part. It was simply convenient.
Stop treating paying for vaccine as some kind of Ehsaan you did on country.
A customer ordered 4 pcs from our site. Then 10 days later requested to return citing size issues.
We called for return. She pressed for early refund & we refunded since the delay was from our courier partner in delivering the pcs back to us.
Received 4 used dirty clothes.
My life Goal is to be as calm and pretty when I am 80 (that is if I am). I usually wouldn’t post personal picture but this one too dear not to. My Nani turned 80 yesterday and here she cuts a cake with my 85 year old nana. both healthy (with their medications) & self reliant.
Just an observation about past 2-3 days on Twitter
1) Senior retired Army men commenting and taunting the NCO’s and SSC guys openly shows that sometimes even the uniform can’t teach sense.
2) Just being a veteran isn’t enough, some dignity is required in behaviour.
I have said it before and saying it again. Brands should stay away from unnecessary posturing,be it religious or social. Good products will sell with or without drama of wokeness. Concentrate on your product & customer care. Don’t confuse the brand platform as a TeDx talk show.
I have run a garment manufacturing unit for nearly 2 decades.
Most of my staff and employees come from what I would call the semi skilled, school dropout category. Majority of them have a rural background.
In my years of day to day dealing with them, I have learnt a few things.
I wonder why people are ok when Maharashtra Government threatens Bharat Ratna Recipients and wants to investigate their pro nation tweet. But the same jamaat e liberal is upset over the arrest of someone who actually participated in

When I see people on twitter make fun of Gujratis or talk about
#Modi
as a Gujju, I can’t help but laugh. Those making fun of the entrepreneurial Gujju will never understand why they rule the finance and businesses. The reason is very simple, “they mind their own business.”
@KanchanGupta
While you are right about the empathy towards a Bright mind , this is a case of impersonation or fraud.. how do we know he hasn’t done any harm? Field of medicine can not afford such a thing .
Let me point out a few things in this
@nytimes
article
1) Kunal Kamra is a comedian😳
2) He is POPULAR 😂😂
3) He like that Rathi asshole, is a virologist, pandemic specialist medical professional..😂😂
4) His opinion matters 😂
5) New York Times is a newspaper 😂😂
In Opinion
“Our government has blood on its hands,” Kunal Kamra, a popular stand-up comedian in India, says of the country’s handling of the pandemic in a video guest essay. “It is a state-orchestrated Covid massacre, and I am outraged.”
Brother in law ( Hritik ) , Husband ( DJ Aqeel ) , cousin ( remember Fardeen Khan being arrested with drugs) .. poora khaandaan druggist hai.. they definitely are worried and hence defending the drugs cartel.
A wedding in the neighbourhood.. older ladies singing traditional wedding songs . None of the younger one know the songs. In another 20 years these traditions will probably be extinct and people would just dance on Bollywood numbers.
I don’t care what the Bollywood star names their kid.. Their kid, their choice and sense..
if we’re to to truly outrage let’s outage on names like Aira, Myra, viaan etc .. I mean seriously.. every class in kids’ school has 3-4 such strange name that has little or no meaning.
As an entrepreneur I can tell you there are
#jobs
. But there is a dearth of sincere employable candidates. Ask any company big or small, they will tell you how they struggle with retention, training and results. Part of it our education system and remaining is the mindset.
Is she in politics ? Is she president of a National party who wants to be a PM. Is she an MP? Does she represent him politically ? Kuch toh dimaag kaam lo..
Saw this on Reddit last evening, so bahu from Japan is ok for BJP,but not Italy?
She like Mrs.Sonia Gandhi is a polyglot, amazing women who have made India their home.
My 81 year old Nani said randomly over phone”women should always work and hve financial independence” .. what made you say so, I asked. She said the confidence having ur own money gives us is not comparable to anything. 😇wise words from someone who wasn’t even sent to school.
Today I learnt about Narinder Singh Kapany who is credited with inventing fibre optics .. what’s surprising is that he never got Nobel for his work snd shows how biased they are.
I know a craft entrepreneur personally who doesn’t even have a GST registration yet, but has been posting political messages against Modi Govt.
I get her problem, the whole Tax reforms, GST and demonetisation hurts these people who otherwise are happy to cheat at every point
Hope all those who burnt Delhi over CAA are paying taxes because it will be pathetic if my tax money goes for something that was purely religious bigotry. Hope the Jamia and JNU walas pay otherwise my tax is going for most dismal outcome at a time when people starve.
Hope she is paying because it would be pathetic if our tax money is going for something that is the outcome of the most dismal debate and non issue at a time when people are hurting, starving...
You may not understand the relevance of these rituals. But even to an incidental Hindu like me, it is heartening to see a PM not ashamed of his roots and religion. One doesn’t need to shun personal beliefs to be proven secular.
My generation remembers the black on bajaj scooters and the endless wait which was between 2-5 years. If Mr. Bajaj had his way, my children would have still been doing that. The India Inc benefitted from a free economy and how does socially harmonious angle benefits?
As Rajiv Bajaj put it: "I do not want my children to inherit an India built on hate."
But even from a purely corporate perspective, isn’t a socially harmonious India better for "India Inc." than a country & market divided by hatred? Why finance hate then?
Nephew arrived from Dubai and the first thing he said was “ I thought there were thousands of protesters on roads” I asked who told him that? He said it’s all over the news 🤔.. That’s the power of false narrative..
Do you know where the Social Media narratives of a Muslim not being able to find house to live originate? In the NCERT course book for civics .. Grade 7. Can’t believe the narrative being told to young 12 year old minds. Thanks
@NCERT
for such wonderful work..
Most of our local Gujarati classmates would be surprised hearing stories of those who came from Bokaro, Patna or even Kanpur. They seemed to have always lived a much more peaceful existence as girls during their schooling.
Now this is 100% honest reporting.. At the regular vegetable vendor, the guy was openly telling everyone that from their next visit they hve to get a cloth bag. He said “PM ne kaha hai, anaadar nahin kar sakte “ 😂😂

I am so happy 😀
So many so called educated Muslim men descended on my TL since yesterday. They are the perfect sample of what is wrong with their community. The so called English speaking idiots defend Burqa & call women who don’t as sex slaves. I pity them as they actually made us vote for Modi

1) look at the handle name & basic bio before retweeting or engaging
2) Outrage or celebrate when you can genuinely verify at least some part of the story/content.
3) Read the first 4-5 tweets on a person’s TL before arguing any further.

In my personal experience I found Gujarati polite people who were generally helpful and mostly minded their own life and business. We didn’t have hostel and lived in a government colony in flats where other flats were occupied by other government employees of mid to lower levels.
A colleague has posted some 35 pictures of her Anniversary with such sugary message for her husband that I must check my blood sugar ASAP. I am sorry to sound mean but I refuse to understand the point of wishing each other on SM and posting intimate selfies for strangers.
I shall disagree here. Italy saw 40K deaths because they didn’t care and didn’t shut. With our population and density it would have been 4 lakh deaths or even more had we not shut down. Yes Economy will suffer & we all shall suffer (I am MSME ) but I would rather not see deaths.
Good morning. Think about this. Most countries have begun to open up carefully!China is importing steel. Italy with 40K deaths is not shut like us. We are dragging our feet because bureaucrats &netas enjoy power of lockdown! Damn the economy or poverty! Back to pre1990 privilege

This is what years of secular appeasement gets you..entitlements and stupidity..
So went for my passport renewal. In and out in 1 hour 20 minutes without hassles. Seamless work and efficient staff . Of both TCS and PSC .. still remember the 90’s when people just stood in queue and had no clue which documents and what for a passport..
We didn’t face much issues with neighbours despite the ruckus we hostellers created. The area generally tolerated 140 of us living and behaving like an average teenagers and hostellers from affluent families in a premier college. I shudder at the thought if it was in NCR.

1. Gareebi hatao is a political slogan and nothing else. You cannot pull these people out of poverty and debt unless one can bring a huge social change.
Eg. There are social practices to keep them in debt forever. Paying for weddings, bhaat, death ceremonies etc
Our other campus in Dehi had a similar hostel in flats in Parparganj in Delhi and there were multiple instances of fights with neighbours. Contrary to that our hostel never had issues with any of the Bhai’s and Ben’s that seemed to tolerate us much more.
There is an entire generation still alive who witnessed the horrors of Partition in both east and west during independence.
What makes the Sindhi, Punjabi’s and Kashmiri’s stand apart is that they chose hard-work to make a life and didn’t play the victim card all the time.

Please don’t give me the cultural gyaan. Asking a brother to get clothes because sister’s uncle in law died is ridiculous excuse of a cultural practice. They keep taking advances to pay for such social practices and repay them til next loan.
May God never give these morons sadgati.. they don’t deserve it with their regressive minds.
And please don’t think they are just online Trads. Coming from a state like Rajasthan, I have seen enough real people talk nonsense like that.
What did the country get in return? Name of a single family on everything from aroads to flyovers to airports and sporting awards.

Let me repeat even at the cost of being trolled.
Language is a skill. More the merrier. Learn as many you can from diverse geographic locations.
Don’t fall for any of the political nonsense for learning or not learning a language.
As an animal lover I am pained at the video of Some assholes tying crackers to a dogs tail. But I am also surprised how cruelty to some animals is perceived greater than that to others. How loving a cat or dog is animal love but loving a cow is being Sanghi and regressive!

I am a Brahmin by birth.
We are two sisters who both got best educational opportunities.
I started my business at 22 with funding from my father who happily helped me take decisions of life.
Do not generalise people by their caste or religion of birth.
Brahminism will screw us all.
And Brahminical Patriarchy will screw them.
They would see what immense power their caste would hold; and yet, would live with a vast depravity of power because of their gender.
What a sad end.
But it would be fair and square, wouldn't it?
Repeat after me, pregnancy (unless it’s a special case ) is not a disease. You aren’t sick and if the health permits one can work till the last week. I have done the same in my 2 pregnancies ( despite severe PIH & swelling) and have held responsibilities.
The Twitter team, including team leader who is six months pregnant and had been on leave, was made to wait for two hours by the parliamentary committee.
Somehow outside twitter no one ever talked about my “ Brahmin privilege “ .. No one expected me to know anything about the Shastra and absolutely no one bothered about my caste. However I do have cousins who lost prestigious medical seats in colleges because of being a Brahmin.
My thesis on Brahmin Privilege (read the entire thred)
1. If I am a Brahmin, I will be revered in the society and a “Ji” will be added to my name. I will be known as a pundit, although I can be dumb or even illiterate.... (Cont.)
(Inspired by Peggy Mcintosh)
5. Social pressures.
Their entire life is built around the social pressure of doing what their families want. Most have no say on things like marriage, education, expenses or savings. I see the mess that is created by their families which are avoidable. They don’t dare to speak.
3) By constantly bickering about current COAS or people on ground, they aren’t helping in anyway.
4) As veterans they may know far more than an average Twitter civilian but so do those currently serving on ground. They shouldn’t make it a match between “our times vs theirs”

I am very happy for you that you can sleep at 9, exercise and be a teetotaller.
But please don’t sermonise it as the only way to live stronger and happier.
A lot of us have a life beyond just fitness routines and are happy.
So my parents and MIL were vaccinated today. First we tried the private hospitals but some were out of vaccine stock & another made us sit today for 2 hrs claiming they couldn’t connect to the server. Finally tried the Government dispensary and it was done in 15 minutes
White man explaining why they needed to loot other civilisations for sugarcane, indigo, spices, silk and slaves. Afterall their intentions were Nobel and beyond the understanding of us savages... what an entitled Asshole.
Shut up. Without colonialism, India would not be a country. It would be 357 warring tribes that don't speak the same language. History is not an occasion for spoiled fops like yourselves to virtue signal.
My mother still picks up the phone & if it’s any of her siblings on the other side it’s always “Ram Ram”. For decades it neither felt religious nor linked to so called Hindutva. It’s just plain greetings while taking name of God. When did that become sign of Majoritism?
