This is from the Maranao tradition; Garuda is also revered across South + Southeast Asia. Galura to Kapampangans; Karura in Japan.
We share beliefs but they’re also unique to each place/culture. It’d be good practice to name specific credit especially for Indigenous cultures.
In Philippines Mythology, Garuda is a giant creature of wind that lives in an underwater realm and soars above the sky. It is said that his wings sound like thunderstorm. The sweep of his wings pushes houses away and uproots trees. He can transform into human when in his lair.
