@PostSuspension1 And pork is haram because pigs are considered filthy. Pork & beef is such a false equivalence.

Better construction practices will also help. Look at Singapore & its streets. Their climate is not that different from ours. But their cities don't have a dust problem. See Vaad's video with the Spinx dude. He has explained this quite well.
Will repeat myself: we are an arid (yes!), tropical country, and our dry soils give rise to dust very easily. Most particulates are actually of soil origin. Increasing the green cover - at least grass- will solve a great deal of the problem.

Cultural Revolution? Crass jokes is cultural revolution? That revolution has already reached primary schools. We need a counter revolution to weed out this filth.
I really hope @ReheSamay doesn't bend amid the pressure. Hell, he should go 2x, host the next season of India's Got Latent in the US. There's enough young Indian students' diaspora there. Shoot there, release on YT with ₹200 subscription. India desperately needs this cultural revolution. Don't watch it if you find the jokes filthy. Nobody is forcing you to. Keep the virtue signalling to yourself. This is the internet era. You cannot block the flow of data.

@poignantPrateek Pattnaik is on whole another level of evil. Akshat just spreads some pseudo-spiritual/religious theories. Less harmful relatively but I get what you mean.

@halleyji At least they should form a consensus. Sometimes they say Shiva is a Dravidian god & Shaiva Siddhanta has nothing to do with Brahmanical Sanatana Dharma. Now Murugan is independent god & Shiva is Aryan. Lol.

Actually, from what I know, the finances of the house were supposed to be left at the discretion of the housewife. She was supposed to have the keys to the vault. I think the keys of the vault used to go with the challa which was tied to the saree near the waist.
@wordi25 It is about growth as a human being. While one person is stuck at home, other person is out in the world, interacting & meeting people, building a professional profile that has $$ value in the mkt. Housewives don't have access to funds like a working woman who makes her own money

I had written a similar thread last year. It was from the pov of capitalism & how corporate incentivised women to take up jobs instead of being housewives. In nuclear families, women end up feeling lonely & it gets boring. Jobs give financial independence & a sense of achievement
I think it’s not the task per se of cooking or cleaning or running a home that’s hard. It is more so that for many women it is a thankless job. Yes men work & support their families. They play an important role. But In most white collar set up, they see recognition of efforts. 🧵

This was the reality for many women in my parents' generation. It was a bad time. Times are changing & we are moving to another extreme where daughters are pampered a lot; over one small disagreement they leave their in laws' house & get the support of their parents.
This scene from 'Mrs.' is so important and impactful and also tells you the difference between how society treats their son and daughter.

You have 5 exceptions. Bharat, as a Hindu Nation, should have 6 exceptions. No public speech against Hinduism's deities should be allowed. And I don't care if it's fair or not. That's how RW thought in this country should be.
Very few folks on Twitter have been consistent with free speech. The ones I can recall are @Iyervval @ARanganathan72 @TweetinderKaul @MukulAgarwal66 right now. Baaki to hamare desh ke thuktii rahegi.

@Zoomerjeet @IndianTechGuide I am not denying that. India made a mistake by not focusing enough on primary education early on & even now we are lagging behind on that front.

@RiteshS13557168 @Zoomerjeet @IndianTechGuide Surely, the autocratic nature of the Chinese state helped them to control their population but the foundation for it was there in the Chinese DNA itself. Throughout history, China has had a strong state & the populace preferred that. US pivot was still the more crucial factor imo

@Zoomerjeet @IndianTechGuide I wouldn't say 'decades' ago. Balance of power theory of Kissinger i.e. American pivot towards China helped along with Deng's policies. Mao was criticised heavily by the CCP itself in one of their official documents.

@utkarsh18311948 You are right. With prosperity, religiosity will decrease. And with that social conservatism will decrease. We will keep moving to the left.

@utkarsh18311948 Christian RW is still quite fanatical in these aspects. And we will see more of such RW groups in the West in the male youth as liberalism loses its sheen.

@utkarsh18311948 Free speech has always been a liberal/libertarian talking point. But as you said, the post cold war conservatives adopted a lot of the classical liberal talking points while the left embraced post modernism & other bs.
