RT @YosephHaddad: בזמן שכל העולם זעק על "רעב בעזה" למרות שישראל לא הפסיקה להכניס משאיות של מזון וסיוע הומניטרי- כולם רואים היום מי אלו שאוכ…

The gentiles can’t possibly understand how deeply the horrors of Shoah and centuries of antisemitic violence are embedded in the DNA and collective consciousness of every single Jew. Seeing these images right after Shabbat hit me right into very center of my being. I’m experiencing a mix of almost uncontrollable anger, hatred, dejection, helplessness but also a feeling of hope that Israel, and we as a people, will come through this stronger, more united, and with renewed determination that Israel will survive and flourish as our ancestral homeland.

I have always believed in the liberal international rules-based system, but this war has forced me to reexamine my beliefs. Today’s haunting images of the three released hostages that Hamas and their supporters abused until the very end have been met with a deafening silence from international institutions, NGOs, and those whom you correctly point out think that they are at the “right side of history.” The politicisation of international institutions, blatantly engaging in lawfare, has become blatantly clear. Yet, my liberal globalists colleagues and politicians defend these institutions and are willing to place them above national institutions and the judiciary. John Maynard Keynes said that when facts on the ground change, he was willing to change his mind. The facts have changed! It is incredibly painful for me to say this, but I don’t think that we as the Jewish people can any longer trust and rely on international organizations, nor the wider society, to be our allies. We can only survive when we look after each other, regardless of our religious observance, denomination, or none. Israel has become our third temple and it is the responsibility of each one of us to do everything in our power that the country survives and thrives as our eternal ancestral homeland.

Politicians just can’t help themselves from meddling with primary and secondary education curricula. The lot currently in power in the UK do it for ideological reasons. This too will end in a disaster. I feel for the students.
Katharine Birbalsingh, the head of one of Britain's best state schools, has written an excoriating letter to Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson after a meeting where Phillipson exposed her ignorance of her own bill.

Agree with your assessment 💯%. I would add that liberals in the West need to find their lost moral compass to realize the insanity of aligning their post-colonialiast and anti-zionist dogma with radical political Islamism that has given Hamas a perceived moral high ground as noble freedom fighters. I had a bad feeling that the Oct 7 war was going to be the ugliest and longest war in Israel’s history with global repercussions. The pendulum was going to swing the other direction, and here we are. The question is how far will it overcorrect?

I’m reminded of David Hume, the greatest Scottish Enlightenment philosopher, who was ostracised and branded as infidel by the Calvinist clergy. He was never able to get a university chair because of his views. But look at his legacy. Today we have similar zealots in charge but they will become a footnote in human history, as did those in Hume’s days.

@Joe_Roberts01 I don’t see any other solution. The other alternative is continuous war. I am 100% certain that that the majority of Arab countries don’t want to see Hamas ruling Gaza.
