This is really impressive. However, these costs are still pretty expensive.
If you do some rough math on the cost then
Base = 4M txs/day * $0.0061/tx = $24,400/day
Optimism = 500k txs/day * $0.0134/tx = $6,700/day
Those are per day costs.
Now, obviously users of Base and
5/ SP1 makes ZK proving rollups super cheap!
Proving costs per transaction are already between 0.5-1 cent with 5-10x improvements to come.

btw, I am not against the agg layer. it's good and has some advantages over doing aggregation as an L3 (and also some disadvantages imo). but to say that all agg layer chains are L2s with complete control as current L2s have today is wrong.
