If today doesn’t inspire you to go out and watch some proper live football at your local club instead of sticking a premier league game on the TV, you’re not doing the game justice. You’re missing out on proper live football. The atmosphere, the pride. Priceless. #pafc #lfc

@iuew100 @Ru55B0ult5 @Soz_Abar_Me I’d say a lot of the old tourist destinations such as Torquay and Paignton have really suffered as a result of national decline. Cities like Liverpool and Manchester have a lot more things to do, but not everyone likes city life. Rural England is beautiful

@Casey_Jamess @Soz_Abar_Me I was so nervous about the transfer window closing, when the club isn’t doing well the critics are a lot louder than the plaudits. I can say, at the moment the recruitment has been great, and all without a director of football.

@dunky_cc Everyone’s lucky to have access to local football, I think what I was trying to say if your local club is privileged enough to have significant investment to warrant a place in a top league, then enjoy it as much as we enjoy following our own clubs for our own reasons

@ribblevalleyUTR No mate sorry if I wasn’t clear, I’m saying if their local club happens to be a prem team, then absolutely fair play to them

@Soz_Abar_Me You’ve gone on a personal attack because I’ve raised a real issue on football culture not only in Plymouth but around the country. If you’re local to Anfield I don’t have an issue with you whatsoever.

@ribblevalleyUTR At the end of the day, if you’re local to one of the big 6, follow them every week (if you can), get involved with other fans and be a part of the community then I can’t fault them for that, just like the old school Man City Maine Road boys

@ribblevalleyUTR I think the reason why so many people resonate with my initial post is there is a genuine debate over local football vs big league football. For those that have a local premier league club is a real blessing. Those are the fans that understand what we do in the EFL

@Soz_Abar_Me The same fans trying to get tickets just because Liverpool are in Plymouth, bothering season ticket holders because they can’t be bothered to travel to anfield… the same people that stood by and watched argyle go into administration and nearly liquidate. I stand by what I said.

@Thenaish1 There’s nothing bad about it. A win for a local football and a big middle finger to the big six culture. Lovely stuff
