A question to anyone who understands airport security. A common phenomenon in Indian airports is that one is asked for the boarding card at the boarding gate, and then again 30 seconds later at the aircraft gate. At the latter, some number is manually struck off a chart. What exactly is the point of this, especially with aero bridge boarding ? I have never seen this in any other country. Is this a candidate for process reform?

Special gift from a little one. After 6 months of no speaking during play therapy sessions, she recently started communicating and yesterday got this for me. Without parent's support, therapy cannot go on for children. Her father was my patient when he was a kid. That helped.
