@m_scrapbook @Madonna Her vocals on this, and Time Stood Still are so lush - they exude the love and happiness she was experiencing in her personal life at the time. There was a huge backlash, and I loved how Don McLean was so gracious and humble about it in response - a blessing indeed 💕

@GregvsMatt @Madonna Always surprised me they didn't go with Forbidden Love as the follow-up to the massive success of TAB in the US. There were rumours FL was going to be the fifth single, and that she'd filmed a B&W video in a New York hotel room/apartment for it, the latter being I Want You

@fendifaguette Love Sabrina Carpenter. She's truly paying homage to Madonna, unlike a certain reductive one who tries to erase her legacy and pass off former looks and ideas as her own.

@KONRADKASPAREK @GodnessMadame Only difference is, one is stunning and original, the other is a reductive fake. In her favour though, it's not as bad as her trying to create the early days in New York photo-shoot for her Go Find Joanne era.

@m_scrapbook @Madonna A well known song, yes but she referenced the more esoteric Get Up as early as Everybody, then in Over And Over, and again in White Heat. Then there's songs by other artists that lift lyrics/titles from Madonna's work - Prove You Love by Taylor Dayne is an obvious one.

@QueenOfPopHQ Had it been the lead single and given the push of performances on high profile the award shows, it would have done infinitely better than Living For Love. Devil Pray should have been the follow-up.
