VERY EXCITED to announce I've been promoted to a Lead Editor for @KarlJacobs_ ! My 19-year old self is going crazy right now. Dreams DO come true, as long as you keep chasing them! Also, new video is up on Karl's channel, GO WATCH or else

@EditorArtem Honestly pacing comes with practice and content consumption. It's an internal feeling that you can only improve by doing. You can read about it all you want but it's really by doing it and failing a bunch of times that you get better at it.

@invictine @GetSoundly @epidemicsound Its actually pretty workflow friendly. You import all of your SFX folders into the software and it saves everything in there. There's also their own royalty free sounds. All I do is search for the sound I need, then drag and drop it directly onto my timeline.

@invictine I use @GetSoundly for all my SFX. Keeps everything super organized and it's such a time saver! I can talk about that in a separate post for anyone interested!

@ilijaedits Here's a different take - Attention to detail is one of the most important skill an editor can have. I babysit every single shot I have in my edits and make sure it all looks as good as it can. If you have the time for "one small adjustment" then do it.

RT @BrettTomadin: feeling super grateful for my job. Not sure how I studied audio engineering, but ended up doing 3d animation as a career…

@fathiyyassin I'm gonna say discipline. The ability to lock in every day, grind and challenge your work. When I first started, that was incredibly hard for me. But I literally pushed myself to do it, even when I most hated it. It's part of the job, and it's a skill every editor needs to have.

@MoviesThatMaher I went to see this movie blindly. I didn't even know there was a sequel. Didn't like it and many people left the theatre mid-film. It's just a badly executed idea of what this character is and should be. Making it a musical was the worst idea imo

@bishaledits @tobynutter For sure! Just make sure you keep your old projects in a separate folder. Naming convention that is use is PROJECT NAME_DATE, so I'm always aware of what the latest project is.
