I want to settle this once and for all, the 2013 DSM-5 classifies pica as eating behaviors not part of a culturally supported or socially normative practice, which manifests as consuming non-nutritive things/foods. so yes, also spoiled goods. edtwt isn’t always pretty anorexia
Eating mold, roadkill and stuff off the ground is not pica or even remotely close to it. Pica is primarily caused by nutritional deficiency and people with the disorder eat stuff like ice, cornstarch, wood, sand, chalk, dust etc
