@maydayflowerr @junkballthree @BEASTARSPILLED_ 60% of women and 50% of men have rape fantasies. It's rather quite normal. Understanding that it is only a fantasy and that it is normal is important. Instead of listening to psychologists and therapists people freak out because their uneducated peers tell them it isn't normal.

@Jc_politics105 @rexkuu One of the worst anime to ever be made. Jesus fuck I'm still pissed off about the animation, quality, and cuts made. Manga is good but Sakae had no idea how to end it and it shows. It has a soft spot in my heart though as Yuno was my first and only waifu (and still is).

@Cole_Da_Otaku Most of the fandom exists within #2 and #3 at least from an outsiders perspective. While it does exist most art isn't like #1.

@rexkuu @Jc_politics105 One of these days I'll have the motivation to go through and finish the Yuno Gasai Abridged Edition. (Mirai Nikki but only the frames where Yuno is visible)

@rexkuu @Jc_politics105 Please don't remind me that the Mirai Nikki anime exists. I'm still mad about it and all the normies that latched onto it.

@Jc_politics105 @rexkuu It's possible to play catchup but a lot of trends/tropes get lost to time as there isn't really a good way to catch up on "anime history" besides "being there at the time". At least I don't know an Internet Historian-like channel but for anime history. I know a blogger for VNs.

@Cole_Da_Otaku I'm not intending to say *none* of them are. Just that I don't think it is the reason for the vast majority of furries. Particularly not the furries who are vocally against the real/feral/bestiality taboo/cub parts of the community.

@YurieAkko If you are not under their chain-of-command at some level it is not typically seen as an issue by HR. America is large enough that this can still be a regional difference. Especially because this was a common way to date/get married up until cultural views on it began to change

@YurieAkko That may be a culture difference thing. Boss/subordinate relationships are side-eyed very much where I live and I'm not just talking about HR at every company forbidding them to protect the company.

@YurieAkko Power dynamics aren't seen as wrong because they are always abusive but because they're statistically likely to be. A boss dating their subordinate doesn't mean anything abusive will ever occur either. It also requires specific scenarios to play out.

@YurieAkko Sorry for late reply. Relationships can end and they don't always end amicably. Family dynamics/pressure can keep a victim with their abuser or isolate the victim because families tend to protect abusers instead of the victim to try and keep appearances or other reasons.

@undurnar83829 @JakePlayZ_OG I believe Rory is taller and Rory is also a loli (her name is literally a pun on loli + her gothic lolita fashion). Loli does not have a height limit but the taller the character the harder it is to remain moe & petite.

@Cole_Da_Otaku The people who deny the popularity of feral (esp. Pokémon) are who bother me most. There is not a month that has gone by where e621's Popular/Month page isn't roughly 50%~ feral with tons of Feral x Human and Feral x Anthro porn in the Top 10.

@anonbangetgatuh @YurieAkko @ShockYang I go over many of the cultural differences in this thread if you'd like to read it: The TL;DR is that the song simply isn't seen as sexual in Japan and so a child being involved isn't problematic. In the West it is seen as sexualized and so is a problem.
@mintiemew If the song is at all sexual depends on the cultural lens you view it from. I think both the JP and Western attitudes to it are justified. Lolicon is seen as inherently sexual in the West and that includes mesugaki tropes. That is not the case in Japan.

@Cole_Da_Otaku I'm old enough that I know exactly the oldfur/newfur divide you're talking about so don't worry. It's almost always some 14-22 year old newfur who doesn't remember when the furry community was still the punching bag of the internet.

@Cole_Da_Otaku I think it is a small enough factor that the photorealistic dog is as bad of an argument is all. Furries like animal features but seemingly mostly after the features have been "cartoonified" for lack of a better word. They want dog ears but "furry dog ears" not "real dog ears".
