For a long time I pinned the language guide here but I learned about this tool kit this morning for addressing #lungcancer stigma. Including context, images, as well as language makes it easy to apply across various media.

My ❤️ is full. It is hard to describe the transformation I witnessed at the 1st @IASLC PACLC Meeting🖤❤️💛 in Ghana. It was palpable hope expanding like a balloon filling with air; deflated, then rising steadily. 200 people (patients, caregivers, individual advocates & orgs, doctors, nurses, researchers) from across Africa came together to learn, collaborate, and provoke change -- 40 of them attended our advocacy workshop - WOW! You could feel the unity, passion, and commitment to transforming #lungcancer research/care in Africa. Thank you, @IASLC , for believing in and supporting this vision and making it happen. This is just the beginning, the momentum is real. #PowerOfPatientAdvocates #Equity #MakingHistory #Collaboration

@Yuan_in_TO It's happening out here. And I want to tell people to really think about it. But people want the best chance and at the beginning quality of life may not seem as important or well understood.

@Yuan_in_TO Now that I'm doing well on docetaxol I see it more clearly. Some drugs just don't agree with us. The cycles are a pain but he side effects are what got to me.

Feels odd to see this. But it is an amazing opportunity to speak both to the role of advocates but also to the importance addressing of lung cancer. Now if I could just convince the Canadian Lung Cancer Conference that we have a role to play. @LungCancer_Can @paulwheatleyprice
