So have we finally acknowledged that darker skinned Black women like Leslie Jones and Amara La Negra must respond to obstacles with “grace” and “politeness” to be listened to, because if they’re authoritative and unwavering in their self-worth like Mo’Nique they’re silenced?
Janelle Monaé made an entire song about coochie in 2018 alongside a music video in which she puts Tessa Thompson inside her vagina pants and y’all talking about “she sexual all of a sudden!!!!”
How on earth do you relate to a literal millionaire complaining about having to eat cereal?! Are y’all okay?! These people are not like us lmao. At all.
Rihanna is a full-out mogul. Beyoncé is hailed as the greatest living entertainer by legends. Bruno has done with 3 albums what Chris Brown still hasn’t achieved after 8. Are you trying to drag him yourself or are you really this delusional?
Ppl saying Chris Brown not on Beyonce , Rihanna or Bruno level. Listen....you ain't gotta like him but talent wise...... That man is THERE!!!!! CLASSIC AFTER CLASSIC AFTER CLASSIC. We can argue
We calling the cops on white people for no reason all summer 2018. Let’s see how y’all like the boys rolling up on yo ass because someone thinks you stole your own car
I’m tired of seeing shit like this. “Hip-hop” didn’t let this happen. This isn’t hip hop and no one except white people will ever think so. This is what they want and what they have popularized. To blame it on “hip-hop” is to implicitly place blame on Black people and.....no.
@BTS_fiend
the point is that she didn’t care to make these comments when it was her friends committing violence…..so it’s not really a deflection considering the difference between these two situations highlights her hypocritical cherry picking
Did y’all’s families let you say “what” or “huh” to them? Growing up I always had to respond with “yes” or “excuse me” and idk if that’s just a southern thing
It’s 2018 and we are done with the lies. Chris Brown makes generic ass music and there’s nothing innovative or groundbreaking about his music videos, live performances or lyrical content. This nigga comes on stage and does the two step and y’all lose your minds
Some of y’alls support for Black people but especially Black women, is so fickle. I keep seeing Amara La Negra being praised for her “patience and poise” and it makes me wonder if y’all would stand behind her if she was popping off on Charlamagne instead of being polite.
Time after fucking time we sit and watch Black women get gaslighted and abused on national platforms, but all we have to say is “good for you for keeping your composure”. That’s not real support. It’s respectability politics.
When you’re Black and depressed with natural hair you gotta take advantage of the fleeting moments when the energy to detangle strikes. Like bitch do it NOW who knows when the shit will happen again
I hate when females have the "I have to be equal to my husband" mindset. Shut up and go do some laundry or something. Starch some pants. Cook dinner. It's your job as a wife to take care of him. I don't care if you disagree, that's fine, this is my opinion. 🤷🏻♀️
You either support Black women or you don’t. Period. And that means standing up for Amara, Leslie, Mo’nique and all BW in their fight against misogynoir and colorism, whether that fight comes by calmly educating others, cussing a nigga out, or beating a somebody’s ass.
Michael Jackson changed the game. He invented dance moves. He changed the way people looked at music and dance FOREVER. And the person you choose to compare to The King of Pop is an angry nigga from virginia that releases 900-track albums and still flops?
