I’m trying my best to help a Pakistani queer asylum seeker living in Manchester,UK with his asylum case & trust me he’s situation is not good. He has to pay £4,000 to his solicitor which cannot afford.He gets no benefits, he is not even allowed to work more than 20 hours a week.
Can I end this nonsense now. Asylum seekers don’t arrive here and claim benefits or get keys to Social Housing.
They have no recourse to public funds until their asylum application is granted, which often takes years.
They live on about £37 per week.
