@AnitaAnandMP Bullshit ... if you and the @liberal_party had any damn brains you'd push aside the diplomacy, politicians and the central-banker-wannabe-PM. You'd bring to the table the shrewdest, most razor sharp business sharks we have to go head to head in negotiations with Trumpster

@JustOutTurdO @SteveSaretsky No, Canadians are indeed clueless. Credulous too and utterly out-of-their league in dealing with a business tycoon predator like Trump

@Anthony__Koch yeah, Canada's toffee nosed lefties, once aghast at our genocidal, patriarchal, misogynistic, oil-producing-eco-criminal sh1thole of a country now waving the flag, demanding pipelines and buying buckets of Maple Syrup They're such fleas

@TristinHopper There will be no invasion, no annexing. The USA will reduce us to economic ashes then offer to pick up the pieces, cheap. That's the way of mega business in America, that's how it's done. No amount of poutine production will change it Canadians are comically unaware of this

@SteveK15896935 @SteveSaretsky Like Trump? Oh no, the man is a ding dong but Canadians are pitifully out of their depth in dealing with him

Mad? No. Calculating, viscerally self interested and suffering nobody gladly but not at all 'mad' It's business, mega-business US style from a president who is ALL business + sees the acquisition of Canada as the biggest deal of his life. He's brilliant, provoking us into a battle w/a monstrously powerful adversary. One that will leave us in pieces that the USA will soon walk in and pick up ... all w/o firing a shot

@TWilsonOttawa Canada's cage fight w/USA is exactly what Trump wants. This is the way of mega-deal sharks that play for massive $billions, to provoke the weaker opponent into a no-win scrap, then come in to pick up the pieces later All without firing a shot Canadians have no idea.. none

@cafreeland Dry your tears, Minister. Your retaliation is exactly what Trump wants, fueled by yankee bashing + comical notions of Canadian 'strength' Keep up the frontal assault + Trump will, in a few years, walk in and pick up what pieces of Canada are left

Oh yes, that is most certainly true ... But he's no madman. He's a calculating, viscerally combative shark who knows that CDNs are weak + easily provoked. A disastrous full frontal battle w/USA will leave us in pieces Pieces that the USA will pick up, indeed as we ask them to do just that That's how US Business works and Trump is all business

@Morgan_C_Ross $2 billion is peanuts in the USA, utter squat. FWIW, just checked the property we usually stay at in Palm springs. Absolutely no change in booking levels, none at all

@jen_keesmaat LOL ... yeah, that'll last maybe a couple of snowfalls Canadians have no idea what's coming, none at all

@mileslunn @EDenhoff @prairiecentrist Well, no, he's not His presidency is like a massive real estate deal, calculated to beat the sh1t out of his opponent until there's only pieces left. Canadians are clueless, no idea what they're dealing with

@mileslunn @EDenhoff @prairiecentrist Fill yer boots, Miles .... There's a fine line between madman + genius. Canadian gullibility is all Trump needs to provoke us into a fist fight w/the US gorilla. One which will leave us crushed, waiting for the USA to pick up the pieces.... All w/o firing a shot

@ClaireMartinWx No, you won't America's not coming in with guns blazing, they're going to come in and pick up the pieces from our self-implosion

Trudeau didn't have much either. None, I believe. Until now CDNs didn't seem terribly fussed over the 'real world' qualifications of a PM If they think Carney, a bookish, progressive left, economist + former central banker has any chance in a cage fight w/Trump et al, well ... They don't know Americans
