@onionweigher I really hope so. There are so many in my area that seem to be trying to grow from old stumps, get big, get sick, and die.

@thechosenberg I'd go straight to the many worlds hypothesis and tell him everything has a 100% chance of happening.

@EileenChollet If knowing anything about CUI makes you feel even smarter, you likely have two problems. Great thread BTW.

@realchrisrufo @elonmusk Maybe there is a smaller amount of consequence at this level as they are learning.

When I've worked contracts, we are thrilled to get an extra 0.7% profit. When I've gotten raises, an extra 0.7% is always welcome. If that 0.7% is being used against our interests, then let's get it fixed. Sixteen days in - call it 0.5%, (365/16) * 0.5% = 11% If this leads to an 11% decrease in spending over the year, then it starts to be quite real.

@billprady @SamNobley Salt river in Phoenix is dry most of the year by the time it gets to Phoenix. Even when there is water in it up stream.

@shaunmmaguire I think the singularity may have happened. I think deep seek and things like it will come out faster and faster. But we will have to build solutions that just plug in the better things that come out. Maybe there is a limit to how fast the singularity can propagate and rearrange civilization. And the limit is similar to the limit on how fast one can feed a black hole. There is radiation back pressure - the disk can only drop matter in so fast without disrupting itself.
