Hard on Malen but I think it makes sense. Keeps him fresh for PL games, where he should be starting ahead of Bailey (out of form) and Asensio (barely played for two months).
Emery confirms January signings Andres Garcia and Donyell Malen have been omitted from #avfc Champions League squad. Rules only permit them to add three new players and those have gone to Rashford, Asensio and Disasi.
