How I landed my junior developer role in 2024: - Almost 600 applications, half spontaneous applications, in 3 months. My job search was mostly with Glassdoor, Indeed, and remote job boards. I used the company website and email to send my applications. I didn't use LinkedIn as I noticed how the job market is saturated there and the roles have thousands of applications. - Around 200 rejections and 15 interviews. - I got 3 offers from spontaneous applications and landed my first role as a backend developer. I studied Java, but none of my offers were in Java. I didn't focus on one specific language, and I was open to trying new things, which eventually, with a lot of effort and a bit of luck, was my winning formula. I hope this can help some newbies out there for the new year ✨

Today is a big today ✨✨ I will be meeting in person for the first time some of my colleagues as all the team will meet up to discuss the backend challenges and plan the this year ahead. I'm a bit nervous but also excited with what comes next 💪🏽
