@CarolineSteel3 @Vic_Gill It sounded like loads of faff but good on you for experimental replication. I wonder if UCL will let me borrow some chemistry kit…

@CarolineSteel3 @Vic_Gill If I could borrow a chemistry water bath, I’d love to have a go at a better boiled egg.

@s8mb that's double incredible since I've just been speaking to a drinks industry professional who says there's a global shortage of the stuff. Apparently monks told to do less making and more praying... so there's a run on it.

The BBC World Service has had to make £6million of cuts and it's hit one of the most consistently brilliant sources of science news: Science in Action. It's coverage of Covid-19 was award-winning, and 2 steps ahead, dropping stories to be picked up by general news. a gutting loss

Terrible move by BBC World Service to axe its flagship science news show #ScienceInAction, the worlds best science journalism in audio for a global audience. Host @PeaseRoland is the most insightful, informed, energetic journo in the BBC Science Universe

@garwboy Nice piece. Reminds of when Caitlin Moran read Jordan Peterson and boiled it down to “make your bed in the morning because it makes you feel in control.” She then pointed out our mothers had probably all been saying something similar for years, but without a book deal!
