Ah, the grating sound of an irrelevant man shrieking into the microphone as the future of this institution, this state and this country walks out with their backs to him.
Where does “Himalayan salt” come from? A photo thread. Enroute to Islamabad, Pakistan, I stopped to visit the mines in the Khewra salt range; the second largest salt mine in the world. It was discovered when Alexander the Great came through this region in ~330 BC. (1/x)
"Should I launch my own startup?" I'm often asked this question. On the one hand, the answer is simple; it's what I've chosen to do my entire career and isn't building a business the coolest thing ever?! But on the other hand, I've also experienced sufficient doses of both /1

Everybody is apparently in on the crypto action. My four year old just told me “I’ve got the bitcoins.” Sadly, he refuses to divulge his wallet address.

Every human watching this knows in his or her heart that the police are infringing on a basic freedom. Regardless of the rhetoric of their gov officials, they know this is neither Freedom nor Democracy. If a 6y old boy with a flag is such a threat, it is time for introspection.

Much love for our Jewish brothers & sisters who stand for righteousness & peace. The great Rabbi Hillel said, “Do unto others as you would have done to you. That is the whole Torah and the rest is commentary.”
By seeking peace and fairness, you embody the whole Torah, sister.

1. No arms shipments to Israel
2. No aid to Israel; ~ $350B out of the pockets of Americans so far

This is the cover of an old copy of Pakistan’s “Computing” magazine; an Urdu publication about computers and technology. It features a handheld computer called Sirius, which was designed and built in Lahore. Nearly 20 years ago, I helped design this computer. /1
@RepBeccaB
Too little too late. You need to call for a Nuremberg like trial in line with what the ICC and ICJ have found. A ban on the free gifts of weapons from the US to Israel, funded by the money of unwilling taxpayers. And sanctions. That would be a start.
@FRHoffmann1
There is a diff between being prepared and pushing war to the point where the next step up the escalation ladder is a nuclear response. At that point, all academic “options” are irrelevant and the world as we know it, ends. So, no. No one sane should support such an escalation.
It's been curious to see high-end Russian assets entirely missing from the action in Ukraine. As some have theorized, this may be about making progress "on the cheap" and retaining combat power for future campaigns. /1
I’m bullish on Bitcoin but my reasons are very different from what you might have heard elsewhere. My conviction has to do with what I’ve learned as a student of technology history and my discovery of a class of “resonant ideas” that are eventually guaranteed to succeed. (1)
Mesh networks are a decentralized alternative to centralized networks like cell phone services or ISPs. In a mesh network, devices communicate directly with each other using each others as relays. They are ideal for remote areas, disaster zones, emergencies and for privacy! 1/n

Proportionality is int’l law. The U.S. too is bound by it. See the relevant parts of the Geneva Convention which have been violated. This video is just more documentary evidence for an eventual war crimes trial. One more charge to add to the list.
We are living in the age of multiple, interacting exponential technologies. AI, Quantum, Biotech/CRISPR and much more. Here's how YOU can be an innovator in these exciting times:
What is the single worst strategic mistake that any software company can make?
To rewrite code from scratch.
Only the least experienced developers will push for this. And they will doom you to failure.
Why? Joel Spolsky explains it well... /1
