Death Jokes is out today, the 7th Amen Dunes album since I recorded D.I.A. in 2006.
I usually take a stance against being too personal on social media, because i don’t want them to suck any more of my blood 😊, but I’ll take a moment today to say I’ve been very moved by…
This is not something I have ever felt comfortable saying to more than a close circle of people. Uncomfortable as this is, I believe it is the right thing to do.

R.I.P. Wouldn’t be Amen Dunes without Scott Walker. Scott 4 changed my life and showed me my path. There’s never been acoustic music as experimental as his, or written in as subtle a way. So cool so extreme and so sophisticated. And he kept growing with age. What inspiration.
One year ago this week Freedom was released and we played these songs for the first time. Ten months of shows. What a year. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it, saw it, heard it. I miss my road crew 💙

Freedom is out in the world for everyone who needs it. So grateful for all the love I've gotten, thank you. I'll keep giving it back. Much love. See you down the road 🕊

Blown away by the show last night, thank you everyone who came out in Chicago & the band for killing it like always. Only a few years ago we played a DIY show in a liquor store to like 50 people in Chicago, so to sell out last night was a very special moment for me. Thank you❤️
Boys was written in Sicily in 2015 looking out on the beach, and produced in L.A. in 2020 looking out on shit burning to the ground. Much love, enjoy.

Growing up whenever I got into a record I always wanted to hear what else could’ve happened but didn’t, so I would look for alternative takes, mixes and live versions, and I like doing the same for my own music. These live tracks are for all those people🙏
Man, I just want to say I was so blown away by the love I got last week for the announce of the new record, and for Miki Dora. I was really moved by it. Thanks to all of you. I can't wait to share the rest, there's a lot more where that came from 💪❤️
Heading back over to the EU/UK in September for a longer run 🕊

On Death Jokes, I decided for the first time to look outwards and speak up about what I’m seeing all around us, and to fight them back with love.
Don’t let them make you lose your mind.
You don’t have to, if you don’t want to.
Sending a massive 😘to everyone who came out the last few weeks in Europe & the U.K. Thank you for bringing it 💪💪

Oh whither, Mary, why?
Simple and wise
Apple in time
Make it okay
Whatever I say
When it all goes
You’ll be all grown
I’ll be long gone
You’ll be living on the sun
If you ain’t careful, you’re gonna forget it
Everything’s fine, in your mind
When I was 13 I got a CD with a song called Splash One on it that was my introduction to dark songwriting. I used to think of it as faraway music. It made a huge impression on me. This weekend I got to work with Roky on one of his old songs. Felt like a beautiful full circle.

I’ve made all Amen Dunes records to help me navigate human existence, an often sticky affair, and hope they’ve helped others too.
Excited to announce we are opening for the Fleet Foxes in April and May. Will feel powerful to play these new songs in those rooms 💥🌊 West coast and Midwest peoples see you soon. Full dates + 🎟
Where we recorded Miki Dora. Best studio experience I've ever had. Minetta Creek ran underneath it back in the day which is why Jimi Hendrix chose the spot, dude wanted to record under water 💦
