I hope Sarah Everard’s story opens up the conversation around the dangers and fears women face. Women internalise the issues of sexual/ physical/ verbal assault to the point it’s now accepted as a societal “norm”. We live in fear to still be accused of “attracting” such conduct.

Don’t think it’s the time to start disparaging people about not knowing what ‘stay alert’ means - if the first minister of Scotland doesn’t know what it means, does that make her not very clever?? It’s your job to make it clear & be responsible, not shift the blame.
‘Stay alert’ quite obviously means remember to obey the rules. Vast majority of constituents get that and why it’s important. Very clever people on Twitter not so much, apparently.
