I have a bunch of degrees and a bunch of chronic illnesses. I tried to be a professor for a while, but illness won. I hate this site and can’t seem to leave.
@RavenJae5
@itsJeffTiedrich
Because when they do, they get vilified and gaslighted and their rape kit (which is traumatic and violating to have collected in the first place) disappears or sits on a shelf for years untested.
And then the guy walks through some loophole.
Yes, this is why.
@x3r0gxx
Be very careful posting stuff like this.
This is *exactly* how I ended up getting assaulted by cops/EMTs because someone called for a “wellness check” and they busted in and took me to the psych ER, where they forcibly injected me with a mystery sedative substance.
@torriangray
“But if it wasn’t for [Biff Tannen trying to rape you in the parking lot at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance]…”
*in unison* “…WE NEVER WOULD HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE!”
(So of course we now employ him to personally wash our cars to support his small business!)
@x3r0gxx
When I woke up someone (MD? Lawyer?) said they’d made a mistake and discharged me without providing any documentation. Neither I nor my spouse signed or received a single paper while there.
I didn’t get treated for the actual medical condition, had to wait for a doc apt.
@NoLieWithBTC
I keep seeing people say this… have you BEEN to Orlando? Their parks (plural), hotels (plural) and other attractions are massive, with massive infrastructure. It would be a logistical (and environmental) nightmare to move the physical structures, let alone the workers.
@atrupar
This is not how we convince people with legitimate grievances to vote for Biden anyway. Disappointing behavior further alienating part of the Dem base.

Ward Churchill was fired from CU-Boulder for saying 9/11 was an inevitable consequence of our foreign policy (). Also, “censorship” handwringers should remember HUAC: ( ). Twitter cancel parties are not censorship.
@ThePubliusUSA
I’m totally fine with him being banned from social media and reduced to crashing rich sociopaths’ parties because he lives in the venue, until he is arrested or dies.
It actually is a pretty fitting end.

If it keeps happening, I suggest: “If you make me take off my mask indoors to do business with you, my business will be to close my account.”

Depending on the type of business and the amount of choice I have in the matter, I won’t even bother to ask them to change the channel.
If they have FOX playing, I don’t want to be around the people who chose to have FOX playing.
@Pinko69420
There was that tweet going around about how it wasn’t realistic that he’d be that verbally abusive when he needed help… like have you heard Michael Rappaport speak? He wasn’t acting.
@MrCrystalMighty
“I was laughing and having fun, so the other person was also having fun” is a common mistake / failure of empathy.
It’s literally “what do you mean, my favorite comedian was actually cripplingly depressed?”
One minor quibble I didn’t mention in the video. Democratic ad makers and news editors. Please delete all b-roll of people in masks. Salts the vibes. Remember: We Are Not Going Back.
@StinkRatsCharms
What, the idea that “You don’t count as ‘people’ when I’m talking about ‘people’ generally” is insulting, degrading, and dehumanizing?
@DiabolicalSpuds
Maybe, but that’s usually the first conclusion a doctor will jump to without looking for physical underlying issues (especially for women and POC patients).
Also, undiagnosed GI disorders sure *cause* a lot of stress that can be mislabeled as an “anxiety disorder.”
@11demo11

Why yes, Rush, humans ARE supposed to feel something for fellow humans who have experienced loss.
It’s an empathy test, and you fail.
@AdrienneLaw
I think she was yelling for someone else to deploy their taser while she kept him at gunpoint (for no discernible reason) when the scuffle caused her to pull the trigger. She sounds genuinely upset/surprised that she shot him. But I think she knew she had her gun out before that.

@iAmBittythings
JK Rowling, their author, has become 100% devoted to being a TERF. Instead of writing something else, or just enjoying her pile of gold and her literal castle, she harasses trans people online and IRL.
Ppl cosplaying HP in 2024 almost certainly know this, and are ok with it.
@CommandantLuna
@ChristiCaldwell
Yeah, I personally can’t think of a book that would be carried in a library that I wouldn’t want my kid to be able to read.
A *librarian* acting like kids are just sponges without critical-thinking skills, then withholding tools for developing critical-thinking skills… 🙄
@BenEsler
@Mach_Dent
Dude provided free labor for your amusement—asking literally nothing in return except that he gets credit for it if/when people start sharing it everywhere, so that viral viewers can find who made it if they wish—and you’re complaining about the watermark?

Unless she is, like, prosecuted for corruption and gets removed for it.
*looks around for accountability for powerful criminals*
Yeah, she’s safe.
@DWUhlfelderLaw
I won’t merely be surprised—I’ll be shocked.
It would mean he has some sense of shame.
There will be zero consequences if he doesn’t, so why would he?
