On the 2-yr anniversary of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, US & Afghan women veterans met in Texas to make art out of old military uniforms, traditional Afghan clothes, and sweatshirts worn on C-17s during the evacuation effort.

@elaine_lcsw @RepAdamSchiff So true! It does make you wonder about his goal. Maybe it's not to persuade at all... maybe it's to make his supporters feel good...? Which I suspect it does quite well! Either way, I'd love to see your version of this speech and his version--side-by-side comparison!

I love how dangerous and subversive this sounds at this particular moment... @GovCox & @GovofCO are speaking directly to the "exhausted majority" of Americans. The people who are hungry for another way to be in conflict with each other. #DisagreeBetter
Utah and Colorado compete over a lot of things – who has the better mountains, the better skiing, the better economy, etc. I think it’s Utah, and @GovofCO thinks it's Colorado. But one thing we agree on, is that Americans need to learn how to #DisagreeBetter and that healthy conflict results in better policy. This year as chair and vice chair of @NatlGovsAssoc, we’re setting out to do just that. We hope you’ll join us!

@gtoppo Thanks Greg! Yep, seems like most of our political conflict is about these kinds of emotions now. Less policy; more fear, contempt, humiliation, control... a need to belong...also fear (again).
