She moved with her mother to Canada at a young age, and started working at 14 years old to support her family—flipping burgers, serving coffee, scanning legal papers. In college, she started a successful food business that sent her on regular trips to far-flung farms and food terminals, while graduating with the highest individual finance grade in her class. Since joining BCV, Alysaa’s been instrumental in our early-stage investments, including @bankwithrelay, @magicschoolai, @hightouchdata, @loyalfordogs among many others. Alysaa is also a leader of our healthcare practice, as well as our scout program, through which we support 50+ angel investors. True to her roots, Alysaa is especially active in bringing together the Canadian founder, operator, and investor community in the Bay Area.
