I want to take the Mavs seriously, but their fans posts prove they haven’t watched OKC at all.
“Lacking the 3-point shooting” (led league) and the Chet sentence? Chet has a multitude of weaknesses. That is not one of them.
And Washington will give Chet, not JDub issues.

SGA is mid, it’s JDub and Chet propping him up.
Chet is barely all-rookie. It’s SGA making him look good.
JDub isn’t top 70. It’s Chet & SGA making him succeed.
The team won’t make it out of the first round because their players stink.

I could argue that Sengun’s 164 game to 19 NBA game lead is more determinative to his current development than 85 days.
I don’t want to lean too hard into this as I think Sengun is terrific and do not want this to come across otherwise.

Look, I think I am probably on your side of the issue, but you didn’t watch the interview. Pls don’t claim you did. What made it effective was that he wasn’t rude, he had no vitriol. He was calm and at times kind and just asked her the questions that allowed her to hang herself.

Micic is guilty as charged. Closed body language, completely emotionally checked out.
Giddey appears 2b saying something (sh**?) and appears stunned. But his cheek bones are high and his stance is open. Positive reaction in the normal range.

Chet has a higher block rate, fouls less, has a better on/off rate in defense, and a much better effective fg % against.
Lively steals the ball more and rebounds a bit better.
Visually I think Chet moves better when switched on to smaller guys.
Probably lean Chet on D.

Bol is older (4 years 2 months), smaller (1 inch of height, 4 inches of reach, 10 pounds), and slower. I am of the opinion that VW is a better ball handler and passer too. Still, they are the same type. They are more similar to each other than either is to Chet.

OKC traded up to get Cason Wallace not because they needed to, but rather to demonstrate how much he mattered to them. He was a lottery pick who was going to have no obvious path to starting and be given unglamorous assignments.

SPU class of ‘99. I thought this was a perfect protest. Students made their point in a way that did not disrupt the graduation. The President did not make an issue of it and didn’t seem upset by it. Disagreement without being disagreeable for the most part.
