ALS = Lou Gehrig's Disease Thought it had been cured by now? Still no known cause. Still no cure. Still no treatment. Still quickly fatal. Still outrageous.

While we're at it, @CPathInstitute has an important role in our publicly funded ALS research. How about a strong statement on the importance of the work that NIH and FDA do, please? It's nuts for us to sit silently while we lose important research infrastructure and resources.

Shoot, some even pay to come up first when you google "ALS advocacy" If we lose a strong NIH, the entire fight against ALS loses. Where are you @alsassociation @alshf @iamalsorg @ALSTDI @youralsnetwork @NHCouncil @TargetALS_fdn et al ???
Google "als advocacy" A LOT of ALS 501c3s pop up. Not one has spoken out on the importance of NIH funding for ALS research. Crickets. That is not ALS advocacy. An important research vehicle is under imminent attack & we get crickets from the people who are paid to advocate.
