It's not a huge surprise to me that Kerr wouldn't have been as enamored of Tatum's game in this setting. Probably Tatum's biggest weakness is holding the ball and Kerr hates that in general, and probably even more so on a team with this much talent.

IMO, the intrinsic value of Tatum is that it’s *so* easy to build a roster around him, his value is more archetypal than production-based.
Theres no “bad fit” for him which is why it’s been easy to consistently build “stacked rosters” around him. You just trade for good players.
tatum is a top 10 guy. probably not a top 5 guy. he gets to play on the best roster in the league, through no fault of his own. on a worse roster he wouldnt be this successful. but thats not unique to him. i dont think saying any of these things are hating or unreasonable.
