I’ve been following you for a while. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I have always taken you as a person that genuinely cares to be useful and even better if you find joy in the craft. You may just see your post as a rambling of words in a blogpost. But it’s a true snapshot of a moment after climbing a big mountain. One that so many aspire to climb. One that gives freedom of time and breaking generational shackles of never feeling enough. Many might not see its value but I thank you for your honesty. It’s useful and needed. I have not experienced an exit like yours but I have had a similar blessing with freedom of time. Funnily enough, also toyed with humanoid robots as a place to be apart of a team that is excitingly getting into something so big and daunting. But when done in a team, feels fun?! Chuckled at that sentence about giving the computer arms and legs heh. After many years of seeking self worth in my work, I went through a rude awakening of understanding the true arrogance of my nature. Everything seemed meaningless. I found that the intention was always to glorify myself. An attempt to fill a big hole in my life. I soon realized that was a God shaped hole that nothing else can fill except a relationship with our Creator. This hit the hardest: Why is letting people down so hard? I found that to be true for me. I found that I was letting myself down and projecting it onto others. I could actually never make my own expectations. Ever. In order to forgive others, I needed forgiveness for myself. That only God can provide. I needed mercy in trying to be the God of my own life. I pray for peace and mercy for you. My DM is open if you ever need a chat.
