One of my more unusual students @NYUCWP in recent years was Alok Sama, whose eye-opening memoir about his wild time as number 2 at Softbank is now out. Working with tech investor Masa Son seems to have been one part Succession to one part Silicon Valley...

What stood out for me was the great style of writing. Would @alok_sama be a great writer or a banker, or both - waiting for his next book.

Bemused by the delicious circularity of Microsoft and Nvidia investing @$100 bn in Open AI—which uses the cash to buy capacity on Microsoft Cloud which uses the cash to buy Blackwell chips from Nvidia 🤷‍♂️

@Mindzatwork @sbikh A great book —-here’s what the writer Bradley Hope has to say about #TheMoneyTrap : “Witty, incisive and introspective, a genuine pleasure to read…a simultaneously funny and eye-opening memoir, a rare window into a world most only hear about.”
