Great news for the companies and artists who have had to wait for money owed for 2024 Fringe - also that the winding up order against Summerhall Management over alleged unpaid corporation tax was withdrawn before Christmas.

I always enjoy Christmas lights of #Dunbar at this time of the year. The individual components are put together with loving care and form a very random display, without any apparent masterplan to impose order onto creativity.

@fergusmorgan's podcast on A Satire of the Three Estates gave a fascinating insight not only into a remarkable 16th Century play (which surely deserves a revival), but also into the later lack of development of theatre, due to the hostility of the Kirk.

Planning to start listening to @FergusMorgan's A History of Scottish Drama in Six Plays this evening with A Satire of the Three Estates. I'm sure I saw this at the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh in the 1990s, but I can't find any record of it.

Did the BBC’s Steve Rosenberg just call the President-elect of the USA “Donald CHUMP”???. Listen for yourself from 18:03:30.

My review of @genesisTP2020’s Men Don’t Talk, written and directed by Clare Prenton @ScotStoryCentre is now available on the @AllEdinTheatre web site. ".. provides an informative, witty, and often moving, glimpse into the work of the Men’s Shed movement."

Enjoyed @pilot_theatre's Run, Rebel @traversetheatre last night with my friend, Lubna. This tale of an Asian family in the UK revolting against an authoritarian father featured some fine performances and made great use of an interesting and very effective stage design.

Brought back memories of my own autobiographical play from Fringe 22, Red Alert - Cancer. I enjoyed this, but it might have been very different if I had seen Bright Places, before doing my play. Such a clever, beautifully produced piece of work.

I'll be @traversetheatre this evening for @CarbonTheatre's Bright Places, an autobiographical play about growing up with Multiple Sclerosis. I have a good friend, now living in Australia, with MS, so this will help me understand her situation a little better.

@PlayPiePint @ThatCatMacLeod @OranMorGlasgow Thanks for the correction, and apologies to Megan. I spent half an hour last night trying to find a cast list online, at the end of which my brain was so frazzled that I wrote Rebecca instead of Megan. It would be REALLY helpful if you had the cast list on your website

@The_Q_R Methinks there has been an accidental slip up on the Copy & Paste front in your article about the Traverse programme as the link actually goes to Sadlers Wells, unless they are so desperate for punters that they have sabotaged your site?
