While Adam Silver wants 10-minute quarters to cut the game into 2-hour window, maybe NBA should start with not allowing 20-30 second FTs windows for each damn player for 20-30 times per game?

3 Russian newspapers asked me if the @IIHFHockey decision (Russian teams will not be allowed to participate in international competitions next season) is correct. I am referring them to my answer here. I wonder if they will publish it in Russia. “Yes, it is the right decision. Until the Russian army leaves Ukraine and Russia takes full responsibility for all the lives lost and maimed and for all the damage caused during the war in Ukraine, no Russian athlete is allowed to compete. Every Russian athlete is unfortunately an advertisement for terrible Russian crimes. If these athletes, such as Russian hockey players, could play, it would cost a lot of human lives, including Russian ones. And we must not allow that. Human life is more than, an athlete's career.”

Meanwhile Adam Silver threw off to media "10 minutes quarter" bone & everyone started discussing it in serious way! While this idea is close to absurd & almost unrealistic to set up & real problem w/number of games is not discussed at all. Masterful job by commish.
There is never a time that the obviousness of the NBA having too many games is more apparent. It's my job to do this for a living, I'd love to have been able to pay attention to this game, and it just isn't possible.

A Russian missile strike on Odesa. On the historical city center, preliminary identified as a ballistic attack. A completely deliberate strike by Russian terrorists. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported. Some people were wounded and have received assistance. Among those caught in the epicenter of the attack were Norwegian diplomatic representatives. All circumstances of the strike are being investigated. We are doing everything we can to help people.
