That an American president could say this is just gob smacking. Maybe he also thinks we shouldn't have opposed Hitler.

President Musk-Trump suggests that since Russia "fought for that land" in Ukraine "and lost alot of soldiers" doing it, that Russia should keep it. What a piece of shit.

Time for Holyrood to get creative. Asset stripping and monopolistic practices need to be subject to more stringent rules.

Why didn’t I think of that? Oh wait. I have. - My time on here is more limited than you imagine. - I run four times a week at a minimum of 5km per run with a long run every weekend. - I don’t really drink - being the son of an alcoholic puts things into a lot of perspective. - I very rarely eat take away and I limit my sugar intake to under 30g a day. - Voting decisions don’t tend to have much impact on mental health. - I drink 2 litres of water minimum a day and I’m on a very decent food based vitamin. - Manliness or masculinity doesn’t preclude depression (and that’s one of the most dangerous myths out there.) And yet, despite doing all of this, the black dog still came knocking. Because here’s the thing - you can eat well, exercise, avoid alcohol, and tick every box on the “self-care” checklist, and life can still be hard. Stress, grief, uncertainty - they don’t care how many miles you run or how much magnesium you take. When it feels like that, ask for help. Mental health isn’t a matter of willpower - it’s part of being human. And no one should be shamed for needing support.

Pride and trust, like respect, have to be earned. Why should we be proud of a state that treats most of its people with such arrogant disdain and many with deliberate cruelty? Some humility from those in power would help.

Pride in your country isn’t something that needs to be drilled into people in school like a multiplication table - it’s something a country earns by treating its citizens well and achieving things worth being proud of. If younger generations aren’t feeling it, maybe the problem isn’t the education system but the fact that Britain has been run into the ground by people who mistake flag-waving for actual leadership.
