After more than 4 years working full-time as an editor for Texas Monthly, the magazine decided not to renew my freelance contract. So it goes. At TM, I ran the sports vertical; edited features for print and web; oversaw the monthly Working Life section in print; served as story editor on two narrative podcasts; and did whatever miscellaneous editorial work I was asked to do. I'm proud of my work and proud I got to spend a chunk of my career at an outstanding magazine. Also proud I got to work alongside some wonderful people. So, I'm looking for work again. Wish me luck.
