Safety Julian Blackmon's a free agent this offseason and spent last year playing under Gus Bradley with the Colts. Wonder if there's a potential reunion with the #49ers as they try to add to their safety room around Malik Mustapha.

Adding Robert Saleh, Gus Bradley is a great start. Interviewing DeAngelo Hall seemed like a good move. Need to reinvest picks and cash in the defensive line. Need to bolster that unit around Nick Bosa.

Robert Saleh and Gus Bradley provide stability in the defensive coaching room. Two former head coaches, defensive playcallers, both have worked together. At the very least, it should ease Shanahan to focus on the offense and entrust the defense is in good hands.

That was my takeaway from George Kittle’s comments to @heykayadams about contract extension talks: He didn’t really confirm, more so alluded to the fact that his agent’s handling it and he thinks there’ve been some talks.

Warriors overvalued their young draft picks and probably overplayed their hand, instead of trading some of these assets to push all their chips in around their 37-year old once-in-a-generation star. Think the 49ers can be guilty of holding onto a failed draft pick too long..

Not sure if Mooney Ward returns to the #49ers (they paid Lenoir, have Green and other needs).. But he was a home-run free agent signing and wish him the best no matter where he goes. Ultimate professional and was an awesome 49er.

Cooper Kupp won the Triple Crown and beat out Deebo Samuel for OPOY in 2021. Fast forward 3 years and Kupp’s on the trade block and we’ll see what happens with Deebo. Life moves fast in the NFL.

Have to imagine the #49ers will place a call to the Browns on Myles Garrett. Always trying to find the right bookend for Nick Bosa and there’s no better rusher in the NFL. Garrett’s cap hit is $6.3M in 2025, so cheap against the books relatively too.
