@PDuranBE then measured nascent matrix production from MuSCs across lifespan. She found as we get old, MuSCs produce less nascent matrix and associated with reductions in translation. This effect could be rescued with IGF supplementation.

@PDuranBE first compared FAPs with MuSCs and found MuSCs don’t produce as much nascent matrix as FAPs. Even myoblasts don’t make as much nascent matrix!
