A fabulous day with the Hudson County Superintendent Round Table. A chance to celebrate a dedicated group of leaders as they begin a new school year and Eric Crespo as County Superintendent of the Year!! A gorgeous day and a “”cup-filler” getting to see so many old friends.

This is my sad face. I was supposed to meet Max Alexander this morning and see his newest collection, but the traffic gods did not cooperate. Max is an inspiration of what it means to use your voices of passion and heart to be a change agent. Crush it today, Max, shine bright!

My heart is saddened hearing about all the music and art teachers being cut due to budget constraints. The arts are the reason I’m the leader I am today. Please think twice before removing the place and space in which so many of us find our people and our truest selves.

Such a great reminder to take care of ourselves.
