@BEACHYBIRDER Yes, loved this book. Still have my original field copy, now falling to bits, plus a decent condition one.

@DavidMcGrath42 Nice shots Dave. The flycatcher isn’t a Red-breasted though. Not a Red-throated/Taiga either, which would be the one of this pair to occur in Thailand. It looks like one of the Cyornis blue flycatchers, maybe Indonchinese or Hill Blue…

Some of the better looking Antbirds we saw in Guyana last month. Ferruginous-backed,Rufous-throated & White-plumed. Very high iso settings used in the dark rainforest undergrowth which reduces the quality. 1 Wing-banded Antbird also seen, but unfortunately no photos #BirdingGuyana

@hubiegallagher I think there are a few sites in Brazil to get great photos of them, where birds are habituated to come in to a feeding station.

After missing it on previous visits, it was nice to finally catch up with the returning adult Kumlien’s Gull at Tralee bay, where it showed well in the main Blennerville channel this morning. Continuing Spotted Redshank present too near Annagh Island. @KerryBirdNews

Amazing day with 6 Red Siskins @ a remote area where the species is monitored & protected by the local community. This endangered bird was only discovered in Guyana just over 20yrs ago, and like Sun Parakeet is threatened by illegal trapping for the cage bird trade. #BirdingGuyana

It was fantastic to watch 3 stunning Sun Parakeets this morning at an area where they are protected by the local community. A highly endangered species that is severely threatened by illegal trapping for the cage bird trade. #BirdingGuyana #Lifer

Well worth the 4hr. round trip in a small boat along the Burro Burro river to see this 6month old Harpy Eagle. We gave it as long as we could but unfortunately had to leave before any adult returned to the nest. Phonescoped clip from opposite side of river. #BirdingGuyana #Lifer

We were lucky to get a single Rufous Crab Hawk on our way back to Georgetown, given the torrential rain. #BirdingGuyana
