This will drive up the cost of many items, including the medications that Americans need and already struggle to afford. People have been calling for lower prescription drug costs and so far Trump's actions will do the exact opposite of his promises.

The proposed cuts to Medicaid-- including imposing bureaucratic barriers like work reporting requirements for the purpose of having people fall off of health coverage--will have real impacts on the health system and hospitals and clinics and providers we all depend on.
Last week, President Trump voiced support for Medicaid and said that “people won’t be affected” by changes he could make to the program. Yet Rs in Congress are considering cutting Medicaid by taking it away from people who don't meet a work requirement.

Given how much of the federal budget is health care, the current action of "randomly cutting everything" is literally life and death for many. It's like going through a hospital and randomly unplugging stuff: some might be desk lamps, some might be respirators.
Until we balance the budget, I’m literally for randomly cutting everything by 10-35% and seeing what happens At least on this scenario we live to fight another day BTW: this is what happens to individuals who go broke: credit cards turn off & Netflix gets paused! 😂

Trump said he would "adore and cherish" and "wouldn't touch" Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security---but some Republicans in Congress want to cut #Medicare, and even more want to cut #Medicaid. Cuts mean people losing coverage, providers cutting services, for everyone.
