Today was my last day on my family medicine rotation. I have really enjoyed working with Dr. Major and his team. I’ve learned so much about primary care. Of course its my favorite rotation so far 🥹
Thank you
@aafp
for selecting me for the Leads scholarship. Grateful for this opportunity to reaffirm my love for family medicine!

👋🏿! I'm Adwoa, an M3 at Howard University College of Medicine. I am interested in Primary care, healthy equity and women's health. Excited to join the family and connect with everyone along the way 😁😊. 🇬🇭🩺
Something an interviewer said that stuck with me:
“It seems like you always wanted to pursue family medicine even before you knew what family medicine was."
I never felt more seen 🥹
AMEC last week was absolutely amazing. Being able to reconnect with so many people I've met through this medicine journey from undergrad, grad school, and medical school was everything and more. Thank you, SNMA, for our yearly family reunion. 🙌🏾

This week I advocated for my patient and convince one of the attending to do a procedure they were at first hesitant about, the procedure was a success! Very rewarding week 😊
My Pelumi 😍, my perfume enthusiast and radiant friend, she brightens up any room she walks into. Watch out Internal medicine she is about to make her mark.

My residents complaining to me about other students has me feeling like a current girlfriend who has to listen to their partner complain to them about their ex 😅
Today was my last day on Obgyn🥲. I really enjoyed this rotation and working with the team. The best part was assisting in the delivers of five babies ☺️.
Not enough words to describe Bryttany, but she is truly one of a kind. One thing I know for sure is that she always goes above and beyond for her patients and loved ones. Any program would be blessed to have her.

As of June 2023…3 of the 4 members of Team USA’s 4x100m relay team…who ran the SECOND fastest time in history, and brought home THEE gold medal…have nearly died or did die in childbirth.
We deserve better.
