Not surprising to me at all that OpenCV is struggling to raise funds by politely asking for money. Their recent campaign focusing negativity against corporations who use their software within the terms of its license agreement is very weird to me.

If you play this strategy, you need investors who can think from first principles and not just chase the latest hype.
