A great read. Not everything can or should be an RCT. RCT’s borderline on infeasible in the upper echelons of athletics, but we don’t need to sacrifice the quality of findings to study that population - just get creative!

Nestor is a lot like James Harden. Develop a framework to succeed within the rules as they are written. An out is an out and winning is ultimately what matters. Especially true if this allows guys to ease of the velo and maybe preserve their arm
Conflicted about this. On one hand, this would get you benched on 99% of HS or college teams and be called "Bush League." On the other, if there isn't a rule against it, how do you fault a player for testing the boundaries to try to gain a competitive edge? Thoughts?
