hey so this actually isn’t “journalism” it’s clearly opinion and calling it “critical journalism” is dangerous. be mad they published it but this is a letter to the editor not reporting and the distinction is important 😩

perhaps, and im just spitballing here, the normalization of pirating small-budget films is one reason that these films don’t get wider releases. also it was announced last week that Nickel Boys will be streaming on MGM+ in Feb.
Okay Charles, why don't you fly me to NYC or LA where Nickel Boys is currently playing, and also pay for my hotel tickets, food, other expenses, and also my flight back home, then I will stop pirating films.
