A win for judicial independence and the rule of law in Uganda? Maybe... but the government is unlikely to passively accept this defeat. They'll probably purge disloyal judges or push for constitutional changes allowing military courts in political trials.

Overall, the results suggest that education can have negative consequences for democratization when authoritarian regimes deploy indoctrination. Thus, monitoring educational content in addition to educational attainment is important for donors' engaged in democracy promotion
