in birding, we call this sort of thing "stringing".
learned that some people in letterboxd’s experimental film scene lie about what they log. heard rumblings about this but it was confirmed when, throughout the year, people who didn’t live in chicago would log things i programmed (i handle doors and there aren’t many people lol).

the henslow's sparrow at @GreenWoodHF has a lot of personality and i am glad i went to see it yesterday morning! here it is eating a big worm, hiding behind some grass, doing a little plumage display, and angrily looking for More Worm @BirdBrklyn

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said last year it planned to declare the ivory-billed woodpecker extinct. Now it's putting off a final decision while it explores the possibility that the bird with a 30-inch wingspan might still be alive.

very happy the prospect park feeders are back :~) male & female purple finches, red-bellied woodpecker, and some blue jays (not pictured) were hangin out there this afternoon. also, a very brief & distant kestrel sighting by the lake @BirdBrklyn

saw a mississippi kite at prospect this evening with @realchefkirby 🙂 been dying for one of these. i'd been taking my laptop out to work from a spot near my apt with a good view of the sky so i could look up and pray that one would fly over. got to hang w this one for a few mins
